BHANGEELAAR! Questions for Lutfur Rahman:
These questions are being put to you in the public domain as you have failed or have neglected to keep your promise given in person on 06 May 2010 in the vicinity of a polling station that was situated in the Vallance Road London E1 that you would sit down with the BHANGEELAAR! Campaign organiser to discuss your role and answer the overdue questions. You repeated the same ‘promise’ on 10 May 2010 at the Mulberry Place London E14 2BG. Despite reminders, the BHANGEELAAR! Campaign has not heard from you about any of the promises that you had made. Your latest utterance of that same promise was made on 14 September 2010 at the 'Troxy' in the Commercial Road London E1.
1. Why did you make the promises and why haven’t you kept any of the three we have here referred to?
2. In all the printed leaflets that you have EVER circulated in Tower Hamlets about your ‘suitability’ for elected post at public expense, you have referred to a matter that has been most noticeable. You have claimed to be “brought up in the East End”.
3. Why have you been making that claim?
4. What point have you been making by including the claim ESPECIALLY when ALL your visible supporters have looked like THEY were mostly likely NOT brought up in the East End themselves?
5. Did someone ADVISE you to insert that claim?
6. Was that ADVISER a person of an East End upbringing himself or herself?
7. What reason is there for including the claim especially as the objective facts on upbringing and related aspects of persons’ behaviour show that the location of a person’s upbringing cannot be the key determining factor in their character let alone in their actual conduct in a public office?
