Just look at this gem quoted below, attributed on 24 August 2010 to “Dr” Kevan Collins, “Chief Executive” in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets Council, still glorying in his self-publicity given to him by a still unexplained arrangement with Channel 4 [we shall look at length at that outfit, Channel 4 TV, in context here in the very near future]:
[Quoting Kevan Collins]
“What really struck me during
Undercover Boss was that at no point did
any of the residents or staff I came into
contact with seem surprised by the
service they received; it was clear that
they had come to expect these high
standards. We cannot allow these
standards to slip regardless of the level
of budget cuts. “
The fakery of the two sentences is so gross that it must be exposed as soon as it is encountered.
Here goes:
First we begin by referring to the emails, telephone calls and other contacts that the Bhangeelaar! Campaign against a directly elected mayor in Tower Hamlets” made to Kevan Collins' office IN HIS CAPACITY [ex officio] as the RETURNING OFFICER for Tower Hamlets.
In our contacts, made AFTER the ‘official publication’ of the ‘results of the referendum’ held on 06 May 2010, we wanted the Returning Officer to tell
us what he had done to oversee, supervise and monitor and audit the entirety of the ‘campaign’ for both sides of the referendum ‘question’.
We were informed by Kevan Collins’ office that they needed time to give us the answers to those questions.
We allowed them reasonable time.
And did they answer the questions?
NO! Yes! May be!
Of course they did not.
They needed loads and loads of additional communications to be sent to them on THE VERY SAME issue asking for Kevan Collins [as the Returning Officer] to answer the questions.
After another period of ‘waiting’, we were told that the questions would be dealt with by er..er..er Tower Hamlets Council‘s ‘democratic services’.
Question: Why was that?
The answer to this question was to do with OUR insistence throughout that we had NO INTENTION of dealing with Isabella Freeman whom we had stated to be unfit for purpose.
‘
So who did we get then instead of Isabella Freeman?
We got lumbered with one of her bureaucratic appendages in the Tower Hamlets Council.
Between the three of them Kevan Collins, Isabella Freeman and their various colleagues and sub-colleagues in the Tower Hamlets Council bureaucracy produced such a standard of unaccountability that can only be described as blatant contempt to the people of the community in Tower Hamlets.
Not quite the rosy picture that Kevan Collins has been allowed to paint of his achievements via Channel 4.
