Tower Hamlets 'Returning Officer' Kevan Collins [who is in that ‘post’ by the fact of his ‘day job’ as the Town Clerk of the London Borough of Tower Hamlets COUNCIL which covers the areas of two parliamentary constituencies] is continuing to fail to answer questions about his role over the alleged referendum dated 6 May 2010.
The failure is marked by the latest piece of untruth that the BHANGEELAAR! Campaign has been sent by the Kevin Collins-fronted bureaucracy at Tower Hamlets Council.
As we have stated already in the previous posts, Tower Hamlets Council Town Clerk Kevan Collins faced being totally discredited if he was found on the facts to be bent on following the anti-democratic line that had been pursued by one of his predecessors in that post, Christine Gilbert.
The latest piece of untruth from the Kevin Collins-fronted Tower Hamlets Council bureaucracy that the “BHANGEELAAR! Campaign against a directly elected mayor in Tower Hamlets” has received will be examined part by part here shortly.
Suffice to say for this post that the piece of untruth is apparently from a member of the obfuscation unit which was being controlled by Isabella Freeman when we last checked. Freeman has been in place de facto to apparently put the position of the Returning Officer on matters to do with elections - and referenda! - in the Borough.
Freeman and electoral transparency in Tower Hamlets Council do not go very well.
As had been reported a few years back by a ‘local newspaper’ circulating in Tower Hamlets [‘East London Advertiser’] Isabella Freeman had been found to be trying to deny access to information that belonged to the public.
The caption put to a picture of Isabella Freeman in the ‘East London Advertiser’ asked: "Something to hide [,] Isabella?’
The ‘local newspaper’ did not really follow up that report. It is clear on the facts that we shall have to do that update.
[To be continued]
