Fundamentalist-linked Labour hopeful wins a reprieve

While I was on holiday, the Labour Party drew up the shortlist for the vital candidacy for Tower Hamlets’ directly-elected mayor. Many in the borough were deeply worried that this powerful new post could revive the political career of Lutfur Rahman, the former Labour council leader deposed after I exposed his links with an Islamist fundamentalist group, the Islamic Forum of Europe, in the Telegraph and Channel 4’s Dispatches in March. The IFE wants to create a sharia state in Europe and has hosted many extremist speakers.
On my programme, Cllr Rahman refused to deny that the IFE had helped him win the council leadership. He led an administration in which there were clear signs of Islamic fundamentalist influence. Large sums of council money were channelled to various community organisations closely connected to the IFE.
Cllr Rahman’s name was kept off Labour’s mayoral shortlist, along with that of his anti-IFE successor and rival, the current council leader, Helal Abbas. The sighs of relief were premature, however. Tonight, Labour announced that the shortlisting process is to be re-run following a complaint, believed to be from Cllr Rahman. The choice of a candidate, due to have taken place by membership ballot from Saturday, has been postponed.
A spokesman said: “The complaint has been looked at carefully. While the Labour Party does not accept that it has any substance, to ensure transparency and fairness to all potential candidates, all long-listed candidates will be re-interviewed by a different panel to be appointed by the NEC.”
Lutfur lives again? That’ll make for interesting news coverage of the mayoral election! Watch this space…

Having read some of the posts here, I think the posters have a good idea what is going on. I think the Islamic rule applies - that anything is permitted, lying, cheating, underhand dealings, in order to be victorious against the infidels. All part of the many stringed bow which is Jihad.
The posters who try and trivialise what is going on for example Duckham comparing what this shower are doing to what animal rights activists etc. do - are either useful idiots or economical with the truth (to say the least) about which path they tread.
I agree with anders' post of yesterday - Muslims will attempt to succeed in this particular part of Jihad using demographics. They're doing it in Europe, they're doing it in the United States. They're even going to succeed there by building a mega mosque on the site of Ground Zero, aided and abetted by the Mayor of New York. Watch out for the same tactics in the UK.
The Labour Party, and Tony BLiar, has a lot to answer for.

Gilligan, it should be clear by now that the Muslims themselves do not care if their (Muslim) representatives are corrupt. Indeed, they respect and admire it as a way of getting one over on the dhimmis.
You are therefore dependent on the non-Muslim element of the population to stop the Muslim element. Of course, in some cases you can take advantage of internecine strife within the Muslim community to help. But, ultimately, demographics is destiny and, in the long run, no one is going to care about your investigations because the Muslims will have the strength of numbers to get the result they need anyway.
Why don't you do some investigations of ballot fraud in the recent election?

The Labour Party.
The Labour Party will go down in history as the party that changed the ethnic and religious balance of Britain forever.Latest population assessments today point to ethnic minorities going fron 1 in 10 of the population to 1 in 5 within twenty years. This plus a population of 80 miilion expanded by ethnic birth rates.
We face a very diifficult future and the kind of iissue raiised by Andrew will become an everyday occurrence as we slowly lose control of large parts of our poitical and governmental system to these forces.
Of all the lousy rotten legacy of this rotten party this bombshell legacy of population explosion among ethnic minorites with attendant social and political consequences is by far the most significant.
The fools who continued to vote for this party over 13 years, swallowing all its lies and deceptions should feel very very guilty indeed.

Why does this come as a surprise to you?The corrupt actions of London councils should be dealt with severely by Central Government.Crashing down on the Islamic extremists is sorely needed and has been ignored by Governments for to long.I think we have another ineffective Government, that lacks the stomach required to reign in this anti British terrorist backed religion.

I congratulate you upon your highly articulate denunciation of the faux Indonesian Muslim, but I fear you are too kind.
Far more worrying than the likes of our loony blogger, is the DT lead on the Ugandan outrage.
When, or perhaps I mean if, any western based Muslim representative grouping roundly and unequivocally condemns these atrocities for what they are, I shall begin to hope that there is such a thing as a 'moderate Muslim.
Until that day, if it ever comes, we should suppress this mad cult with every means at our disposal.

Good luck with your optimistic outlook, I suspect we'll need more than good intentions on this front though.

Duckman here.
Although I have relocated to the tropic fleshpots of Indonesia, don't think I have forgotten dear old England! I shall continue to blog here to tell you people what I think, whether you like it or not! ;-)
In Indonesia, we have a novel solution to this problem: just stop worrying and submit to Allah and let the Muslims take over. Believe me, it's a relief not having to worry about such things, it gives me a lot more time to do important things like blog! :-D

Fundamentalism and extremism are not in them selves illegal are they? There are all sorts of headbanging groups in the world that want to do all sorts of things to Europe and everywhere else. If you are confident and strong in your democratic identity you have nothing to fear.
Terrorism to further such aims is illegal and should be prosecuted but one does not inevitably lead to the other. Why not lock up all Animal Rights Campainers; the Animal Rights Groups have killed before now.
Supposing you had an Animal Rights, Anti-Abortion, Fundamentalist Muslim standing you could really go wild then couldn't you?

"If you are confident and strong in your democratic identity..."
You speak as if this was an abstract debate in which people had to be somehow intellectually won over to follow the Muslim faith. Of course that bears no relationship to reality. It is a simple question of demographics.
The Muslims in Britain are using immigration and procreation to expand their demographic ten times faster than anyone else. Their children are brainwashed into their cult at an age when they are intellectually defenceless. As the relative Muslim population size becomes larger, their attitudes become more extreme.
Eventually, no matter how strong our sense of "democratic identity", we will be swamped by numbers alone. The country will be theirs through the ordinary mechanisms of democracy and we will have to fight a civil war to get it back. Some of us would like to prevent it from getting to that stage. The least unpleasant way of doing that is to remove the Muslims from Britain.

Ok, so its the old..." the west has fanatics and extremists as well " argument.
The idea behind your logic being that the ten or so abortion doctors killed by extemists over the last forty years is the symetrical moral equivalent of a 1.6 billion medieval 7th century Bedouin malignant criminal pathology with a bit of religion thrown in to make it respectable and a manifesto that Hitler would envy ( oh , I forgot , he did )
@Duckham: Quote:
"is illegal and should be prosecuted"
How about this for an idea. Instead of massive police and intelligence services employed on permanent red alert from now until dooms day (when they become the majority) being employed to run around with a pooper scooper and a plastic bag so they can follow the religion of deception around and clean up after it every time it shits (as a form of life vocation)-----how about getting rid of the Bedouin dog thats suffering from this cronic diareah by repatriating the spiritually bankrupt, conflict prone, sociopathic, narcissist back to the mud swamp it crawled out of.
Every single one of your comments reeks of 60's radical ,automatic assumption of entitlement to owning some ethical high ground.
If you had never settled in Indonesia, but Mexico instead, you'd be posting comments here defending mass illegal immigration of Mexicans into the USA.
You really fancy yourself as the well travelled, wordly , wise old man . Defender of the helpless, ragged , third world, poor exploited victims of the Western Imperial Empire racist, far-right, Nazi monster don't you. ?
I've had marathon debates with hard core Marxists
who would have been too embarrased to sink to the 40 year old cliched polemic that you recycle
ad nauseum.

Top post ,danoconner.
The people who defend and justify Islamofascism are just as dangerous as the individuals who bomb
.
The so-called Liberals and the ostrich-style appeasers should look to Islamic states that practice Sharia law , for that is the true face of Islam.
In never fails to amaze me how so-called Liberals can square the circle of their support for this sexist , anti-gay and brutal faith.
